We believe and profess all Five Solas of the Protestant Reformation as listed below:

Sola Scriptura or Scripture Alone

We affirm that the Bible is the highest source of authority in a Christian’s life.

Sola Fide or Faith Alone

We affirm that justification comes only through Faith Alone.

Sola Gratia or Grace Alone

We affirm that sinners are saved by an unconditional, unmerited gift of Grace of GOD and not works. Monergism

Sola Christus or Christ Alone

We affirm that belief in Christ Alone for forgiveness of sins. Christ our High Priest.

Soli Deo Gloria or To the Glory of God Alone

The purpose for Creation, Salvation, Godly living, and even Judgement is for the Glory of God alone. And that everything we do, whether great or small, should be done for the Glory of God alone.

We Confess that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to the Scriptures alone for the glory of God alone.

(2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 10:31)

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God, written by men who were divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit; thus, the Bible is sufficient and authoritative for all aspects of life. We believe the Bible (the Word of God) is complete, no other special revelation has come from God to be added to the books written after the Old and New Testaments. The Bible is God’s special revelation of Himself and His will to us, showing us all we need to know for salvation and a life of Godliness. The Bible is historically accurate.

Trinity

We believe in the Trinity as revealed in Scripture and expressed in the creeds and confessions that we adhere to as a congregation. We believe that god has revealed Himself as three persons in one essence. We do not believe this means that there are three separate gods nor that it is one God in three modes. We believe in the Triune God of the Holy Bible as revealed in the persons of God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. All three are equal in power and authority and are of one essence.

For further explanation, please see the  1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith, the  Nicene Creed, and the  Chalcedonian Definition.

God the Father

We believe that God the Father is the first person of the Trinity. We believe it is He that chose those that would be saved before the foundation of the world and gave them to Jesus Christ to redeem back to Himself. We believe He is the creator of all things that exist and is sovereign over all creation. He is the sustainer of all that creation and there is not one molecule in existence that is outside of His will.

For further explanation, please see the  1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith, the  Nicene Creed, and the  Chalcedonian Definition.

God the Son Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only begotten Son of God, as revealed in the Scriptures is the incarnate God and second person of the Trinity. He is the fullest revelation of God to humanity. We believe He is 100% God and 100% man not losing any part of His divinity in taking on humanity and was fully human being tempted in all ways just as we are, yet without sin. As such, He is equal to God the Father and the Holy Spirit in power and authority. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life fulfilling all the law of God, gave Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of the elect on the cross, died, was buried for three days, raised Himself from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God mediating with the Father on behalf of the saints. We believe that Jesus will return a second time bodily and in person in judgement of all things.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is equal in power and authority to God the Father and God the Son. He works in the hearts of men to bring about regeneration and gives the gift of faith and repentance that brings about salvation in the elect children of God. At the moment of justification, He indwells the believer for the rest of their lives applying repentance to them, bringing them into the body of Christ (the Church universal of which Jesus Christ is the head), and conforming them into the image of Jesus Christ. He prays for us to the Father along with Jesus’ mediation so that believers might be in fellowship with God.

Salvation/Soteriology

Soteriology is the doctrine or study of Salvation. It includes how a person is saved, what they are saved from, and why they are saved. This also includes assurance of salvation. This is helpful to understand because it helps to combat false teachings. It lends help in sharing the Gospel and aids in assurance of salvation upon self-examination.

We believe that because Adam sinned that all of creation including mankind is now in a state of fallenness affected by that sin. All of Mankind in its nature is inherently sinful. Thus, man has fallen from the Glory of God and is guilty of transgression the Law of God. Because of this he lives in a state of condemnation and awaits God’s wrathful punishment which is just and righteous. Because man is in a fallen state, he has no capability of being Godly or living in perfect fulfillment of God’s law and is in bondage to sin. He is incapable of choosing the things of God or God Himself. God, according to His will and good pleasure, changes man’s will and nature through regeneration. This brings man to put his faith in Christ and is thus redeemed and reconciled back to God.

There is nothing good that man can do to save himself from God’s judgement. Salvation is entirely and completely a work of God. The only hope that man has for salvation is faith in Jesus Christ alone. God regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies man completely of His own doing. There is no contribution on man’s part whatsoever. Man is repentant because God works repentance through the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit. Not one man is ever too lost for God to reach, nor can man do anything too grievous to lose his salvation. God will not lose anyone that is saved. He will not fail to accomplish salvation in anyone He desires.

We believe in predestination, election, regeneration, justification, sanctification, perseverance of the saints, and glorification. We believe the penal substitutionary atoning work of Christ is limited to all those who would put their faith in Christ or the “elect” and is therefore perfect and complete. We believe in propitiation for our sin. We believe in the doctrine of imputation in which, at the moment of justification, our sin was imputed onto Christ and Christ’s righteousness was imputed to us. God would be totally just to never save anyone, for all have sinned and deserve wrath, but God being rich in mercy saves for His glory alone.

Ordinances/Sacraments

We believe that Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper/Communion are commanded by Scripture. We believe that Baptism may only be administered upon a profession of faith by an individual and must be a part of the corporate activity of the Church. We believe that the Lord’s Supper/Communion should be practiced weekly in accordance with the Scriptural directive and may be participated in by all those that have professed Christ and have been baptized.

For further explanation, please see the  1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith, the  Nicene Creed, and the  Chalcedonian Definition.

Regulative principle of worship

We conduct our worship services under the regulative principle of worship outlined by Scripture. Our services will be orderly, in conduct and manner. We will worship together in spirit and truth by the reading, preaching, and teaching of the Word. We will also glorify God and encourage one another in Christ by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs according to the direction of Scripture. We will also practice prayer and observing the ordinances/sacraments of baptism and communion. We believe it’s proper to take communion weekly.

Together these things bring Glory to God, are edifying, encouraging, and admonishing to the body. We operate and function as a plurality of elders to care for the spiritual needs of the flock and as the leading earthly authority of the body with deacons being the physical servants of the body according to the model given in 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. We are elder led, not elder ruled. We reject the normative principle of worship which states as long as Scripture doesn’t specifically prohibit a certain practice or teaching then it is acceptable to use it in corporate worship. We believe that God commands and cares how He is worshipped per the Scriptures and all corporate worship services will be structured according to what Scripture commands.

For further explanation, please see the  1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith, the  Nicene Creed, and the  Chalcedonian Definition.

Homosexuality and Gender

We believe that homosexuality is a sin per the Scriptures. We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and any other union is sin. We believe that there are only two genders as God created humans as male and female only. That to deny the gender that one was created unto is an affront to the Creator. We believe that it is not possible to change one’s gender at any time or for any reason and to do so is sin.
